Say More about Finding Your Way
This is an introduction of sorts.
Hi, all!
I hope today brings you a tiny delight that makes your cheeks hurt from smiling so hard. 😊
It’s Sunday, and like many people tend to do on this day, I am thinking about the week ahead. Even more so, I’m thinking about how nice it feels to finally be settling into my new digs here on Substack.
I joined about eight months ago and am just now getting a bit of clarity of what I want this space to be and how I want to show up. It’s been fun to give myself the freedom and time to figure that out.
What this moment has reminded me, is that it takes time to find your way.
Likely much more time than you might want things to take if you’re a recovering high-achieving Virgo like me, but, I digress.
All of that to say: THANK YOU for subscribing and joining me on this journey!
I gave the page a name and a small makeover. It’s called, Say More with Dr. Amber L. Wright (which you’ve obviously already seen from the new header image).
The tagline is, “On communication, connection, and the courage to go deeper.”
That may change, but I like it for now, because it truly is my goal. The internet is noisy, social media (Substack included) is overwhelming, and everyone is all over the place.
We’re losing the ability to connect with each other and engage meaningfully.
It pains me to witness all the shouting, clap-backing, and debating we see all day.
We’re in a time when it’s easier to ghost someone than to tell them you’re not interested. Or block someone else because that’s easier than having the difficult conversation you’re avoiding.
I want better for all of us. And that comes with the courage to go deeper. To say more about…the feeling that’s underneath those behaviors.
We have to find our words, to find our way forward.
I envision Say More as a space for exploring the conversations that matter most and deepening the way you connect with yourself and with others.
I am here as your guide on that journey, but I’m also in it with you. I have many things on my heart and mind that I’ll be sharing, too.
You can expect a mix of personal reflections and practical insights to help you design a life well-lived. Together, we will keep asking better questions, listening to understand, and practice saying a little more (about life, love, and relationships).
Take a look around and let me know what you think!
Big Smiles,
Dr. Amber

I love when you wrote "deepening the way you connect with yourself and with others". Connection is so important to me and I find a lot of people looking for ways to connect within and out do struggle with it. I am looking forward to engaging with your content more. Congrats on the name change!
love the idea, about deepening conversations with people. I have been a fan for a while. Thank you for helping us on this journey called life and helping us talk better. can't wait for season 2 of the podcast
